The Company

One of the frequent arguments against investing in professional development is "What happens if I train my people and they leave?" A better question is "What happens if you don't train them and they stay?"

Pinnacle Training & Development was created almost 20 years ago, in response to the new skills development and training landscape that developed with the emergence of the SETAs, the NQF and SDFs.

Clients needed skilled Skills Development Facilitators to get them the SETA grants that became available, create targeted Workplace Skills Plans and make training happen. This is where we started.

Today, we focus on a range of interventions to enable organisations to enhance their most valuable asset – their people!

There are 4 Skills Development Facilitators and 3 Trainers in the team, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise around working with various SETAs, sourcing grants and providing training from factory floor to boardroom! We also have some smart techie dudes to help with the techie work.

We have significant experience in the Food Manufacturing and Clothing/Textile industries, but work with clients in Training, IT, Sales & Marketing, Logistics, Wholesale & Retail, Insurance and Legal industries. However, our focus is people development which transcends specific industry.

Our approach is hands on and personal based on building strong relationships with our clients. Our goal is to give you and your business the solutions it needs, not a one-size fits all service.

We can meet with clients, train, and coach - both face to face and remotely via Zoom and MS Teams. As such, we work with clients, locally, nationally and internationally! Our client base ranges from Pinetown (KZN) to London.

Tracey Norton

Tracey Norton

Business Owner, Coach, Trainer, SDF, Certified Emotional Intelligence & PXT Practitioner and trainee Counselling Therapist.

Tracey has a degree in Education and Psychology and has spent the last 20 years working in adult education and organisational development.

She is a past KZN regional chairperson of the ASDSA (The Association for Skills Development in South Africa), and is a current member of COMENSA, and the ICF (The International Coaching Federation).

Tracey loves travelling and exploring new places, especially with friends and family. When not studying or working or exploring, she enjoys hiking, walking on the beach and reading.

Mariana Dreyer

Mariana Dreyer

PTD Operations Manager, Trainer, SDF, Material Developer, Assessor & Moderator

Mariana joined Pinnacle Training & Development in 2019 bringing with her, her vast experience of the manufacturing environment.

She obtained an Education, Training and Development (ETD) (NQF 6) Diploma from the Rand Afrikaans University and she is a qualified Assessor and Moderator.

Mariana has a history of ±25 years working with different manufacturing industries. She began working for a Training Board and later for a SETA, firstly as a Quality Assurance Coordinator and then as Regional Manager for KZN. She also worked in a factory environment where she established and managed a fully accredited training school. She is passionate about training and development and is a dedicated Facilitator with very strong work ethics.

When she is not working to bring positive change to other people's lives, Mariana loves being creative and can be found in her studio creating masterpieces.

Abigail Coetzee

Abigail Coetzee

Training Coordinator, Administrator & Events Coordinator

Abi joined Pinnacle Training and Development in 2008 and is the backbone of learner administration and service provider liaison for many of our clients. Her warm, friendly, bubbly personality enables her to develop strong relationships with our clients, service providers and learners.

Abi is mom to an energetic little boy and equally energetic husband. When not chasing after them, she even finds time for exercise!

Shayne Govender

Shayne Govender

SDF, Training Coordinator, Administrator & Techie Dude

Shayne is an experienced ETD practitioner with excellent administrative skills. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management. In addition to his SDF and Training Coordinator/Administrator duties, he oversees new projects within Pinnacle TD and is one of our valued Techie Dudes.

In his free time, Shayne is an avid weightlifter, enjoys going on hikes with friends and taking his dogs out on adventures.

Abri Dreyer

Abri Dreyer

Adult Education Specialist, Trainer and Techie Dude

Abri oversees the AET (Adult Education & Training) and FLC (Foundation Learning Competence) training projects run across many client sites and provides tutoring to learners needing additional help, especially with English, Maths and Science. He is currently completing his own BSC degree. Abri is also an Excel whizz, streamlining systems and making client reporting simple and easy to carry out. He works closely with Shayne on new projects requiring tech expertise and system integration. Abri is another talented creative whose drawing skills are exceptional!
